Purpose Coffee was birthed out of a passion for caring for orphans. Specifically, the 27 kids who now call Father’s House in Myanmar “home.”
It was on mission trips to Thailand and Myanmar to visit Father’s House, as well as other orphanages in the region, that the business concept was developed and the name decided.
Our first roast came from Thailand, and our first projects were in that region. Indeed, Purpose Coffee’s roots are firmly planted in SE Asia.
Fast forward to today, and we have the opportunity to help once again.
Father’s House (pictured above, three years ago, and below, present day) is in need of new roofs for their buildings. While some of the project funding has already been raised, they lack the funds to fully complete the projects – a problem made worse with the rainy season looming. Quite literally, we have the opportunity to help put a roof over 27 kids’ heads.
Here’s how you can help. Yesterday on social media, we posted a preview of our new Thai Tee – now available online. All proceeds will be donated to the renovation project. http://purpose-coffee-co.myshopify.com/products/purpose-thailand-tee
Additionally, if you would like to donate to the project, you can visit Empower International or make a contribution to our Child Wellness Fund through PayPal on our website.
As always, thank you for your support for Purpose Coffee and your shared passion for helping kids around the world.
